Set Up Your Logo on Apple Mail

Displaying an official brand logo in Apple Mail boosts open rates and assures recipients that the email is authentic and un-spoofed. Apple Mail displays logos through two complementary methods: BIMI and Apple Business Connect.

Method 1: BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification)

Starting in iOS 16 and macOS Ventura, Apple Mail supports the open BIMI standard:
  1. Enforce DMARC: Your domain must have an enforced DMARC policy (p=quarantine or p=reject). A policy of p=none is not eligible for BIMI.
  2. Obtain a VMC (Verified Mark Certificate): Apple requires a VMC issued by an authorized certification authority (e.g. DigiCert or Entrust) confirming trademark ownership of your logo.
  3. Publish BIMI DNS Record: Publish a TXT record at default._bimi.yourdomain.com:

Method 2: Apple Business Connect (Mail Branding)

Apple allows registered businesses to claim their brand identity directly:
  1. Sign in to Apple Business Connect.
  2. Register your legal business identity and upload your company logo.
  3. Add your Mailofly sending domain under Brand Identity.
  4. Once approved by Apple, your verified logo and company name will appear beside all outbound emails in Apple Mail across iOS and macOS devices.
