The Yes/No Quiz Fork (Condition)

Imagine a signpost standing at a fork in the woods:
  • Walk left if you love cookies! 🍪
  • Walk right if you love ice cream! 🍦
That’s exactly what The Yes/No Quiz Fork does! It asks a quick question about your contact, and based on whether the answer is Yes (True) or No (False), sends them down two completely separate paths.

What Kinds of Questions Can You Ask?

You can peek into three different places to ask your question:

1. Peek Inside the Goodie Backpack (payload)

Check the details that came with the signal:
  • “Did they spend more than $50? (payload.amount > 50)”
  • “Is their selected country France? (payload.country == 'FR')“

2. Peek at their Audience Contact Card

Check information saved on their profile:
  • “Do we know their first name? (first_name is set)”
  • “Have they verified their phone number? (phone_verified == true)“

3. Check their Club Memberships (Segments)

See what groups they belong to:
  • “Is this user already a member of the ‘VIP Club’?”

The Question Rules (Operators)

Mailofly gives you simple dropdown helpers:
  • equals (==): Must be an exact match (e.g. tier equals "gold").
  • not equals (!=): Must NOT be that word (e.g. role not equals "guest").
  • contains: Checks if a small word is hiding inside (e.g. email contains "@school.edu").
  • greater than (>) / less than (<): For number comparisons (e.g. credits < 2).
  • is set / is empty: Checks if the field was filled in or left totally blank.

Asking Two Questions at Once (AND vs OR)

Need to be a little pickier? Combine questions together:
  • AND (Both must pass!): “User is on Pro plan” AND “User joined this week”.
  • OR (Either can pass!): “User joined via Web” OR “User joined via Mobile”.

Wiring Up the Two Exits

  • Drag a green track from the True exit dot to whatever should happen when they pass.
  • Drag a gray track from the False exit dot to whatever should happen when they don’t pass.
If you don’t need to do anything for people who said “No”, you can just leave the False exit unattached! Those contacts will quietly exit the ride with a smile.
