Scheduling & Targeting Contacts

Mailofly allows you to target specific segments of your contacts and automate sends using scheduled or recurring cron configurations.

Contact Targeting

When configuring a campaign, select a target Segment:

All Contacts: Sends to every subscribed contact in your audience.
Filter Segments: Sends to contacts matching dynamic criteria (e.g. plan = pro, country = US, created_at > 30 days ago).

Suppression Safeguard: Contacts that are unsubscribed, hard-bounced, or marked as spam complaints are automatically filtered out prior to sending.

Schedule Types

Schedule Type	Behavior	Plan Level
Manual (Send Now)	Dispatches immediately upon clicking “Send Now”.	All Plans (Free, Basic, Pro)
Scheduled Once	Queues the campaign to start at a specified ISO-8601 date and time.	Basic, Pro
Recurring (Whole Segment)	Repeats at fixed intervals (e.g. Every 7 days) to the entire segment.	Basic, Pro
Recurring (New Contacts Only)	Repeats at fixed intervals, but only sends to contacts that have not yet received this campaign.	Basic, Pro

Timezone Optimization

Scheduled campaigns execute using UTC timestamps. Ensure your desired launch hour accounts for the primary timezone of your recipients (e.g. 14:00 UTC for 10:00 AM US Eastern).
