Custom Return-Path
The Return-Path (also known as the envelope sender orbounce address) specifies where receiving mail servers send non-delivery reports (NDRs) and bounce notifications.
Why Customize Your Return-Path?
By default, Mailofly uses a shared return-path address (e.g.bounces@mail.mailofly.com). Setting up a custom return-path allows you to:
- Achieve Full SPF Alignment: SPF authentication passes under your own domain name (e.g.
pm.yourdomain.com), satisfying strict DMARC alignment requirements. - Brand Consistency: Removes third-party sending signatures in header previews.
