Custom Receiving Domains

To receive emails at your own domain (e.g. reply@updates.yourcompany.com or inbound@yourdomain.com), configure an inbound MX record at your DNS provider.
If your root apex domain (yourcompany.com) already uses Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or Fastmail for employee mailboxes, do not change the apex MX records. Instead, configure a dedicated inbound subdomain such as:

  • reply.yourcompany.com
  • support.yourcompany.com
This ensures your team’s regular business inboxes continue functioning without disruption.
