# Delete your Mailofly Account

> How to permanently delete your account, remove custom domains, and purge stored data.

# Delete Your Mailofly Account

If you wish to terminate your Mailofly workspace, you can permanently delete your account and associated data directly from the dashboard.

## Pre-Deletion Checklist

Before initiating deletion:

1. **Remove DNS Records**: Remove any Mailofly DKIM, SPF, or MX records from your DNS provider to prevent orphaned traffic.
2. **Revoke API Keys**: Delete active API keys in your production codebases to prevent unexpected application crashes.
3. **Cancel Active Subscriptions**: Downgrade or cancel active paid tiers under **Billing** to avoid future recurring charges.

## Steps to Permanently Delete

1. Log into your dashboard and navigate to **[Profile Settings](https://www.mailofly.com/user/profile)**.
2. Scroll to the **Danger Zone** at the bottom of the page.
3. Click **Delete Account**.
4. Type `DELETE` in the confirmation dialog to verify.
5. Click **Permanently Delete Account**.

  This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All contact lists, email history, templates, and domain mappings will be immediately purged from our database.
