> Meet the 8 colorful building blocks you can snap together to make any workflow.

# The 8 Lego Blocks

Steps are the toy blocks of your automation town. Just like building a castle with colorful plastic bricks, you can stack, swap, and connect them in whatever order you want!

Whenever a person enters your flow, Mailofly moves them through each block one at a time.

## The 3 Teams of Blocks

All 8 blocks belong to three friendly teams:

### 1. The Starting Horn (Triggers)

Every castle has a front gate. This block sits at the very top of your canvas and acts like the starting horn for a race.

* **[The Doorbell Button (Trigger)](trigger)**: Wakes up whenever an app signal (like `user.signup`) rings.

### 2. The Traffic Policemen (Timing & Choices)

These blocks guide the flow of traffic so nobody gets rushed or lost.

* **[The Cozy Egg Timer (Delay)](delay)**: Hits the snooze button for minutes, hours, or days!
* **[The Yes/No Quiz Fork (Condition)](condition)**: Asks a question and sends users down two different roads.
* **[The Waiting Game (Wait for Event)](wait-for-event)**: Waits until the user performs a specific action, with a fallback timer.

### 3. The Busy Bees (Actions)

These blocks actually do work and make things happen!

* **[The Digital Mailman (Send Email)](send-email)**: Drops a personalized email right into their inbox.
* **[Club Badges (Add to Segment)](add-to-segment)**: Hands out a club badge by adding the user to a special segment.
* **[Profile Card Pen (Update Contact)](contact-update)**: Writes new details or tags onto their audience card.
* **[The Friendly Paper Shredder (Delete Contact)](contact-delete)**: Safely erases a user's data when they ask to close their account.
