# The Cozy Egg Timer

> Pause the journey so you don't overwhelm users with too many emails at once.

# The Cozy Egg Timer (Delay)

Nobody likes a chatterbox who never takes a breath!

If you send 4 different emails in the first 5 minutes someone signs up, they will cover their ears and hit the unsubscribe button.

**The Cozy Egg Timer** is your automation's built-in snooze button. It pauses the journey and lets time pass naturally before sending the next note.

## Setting Your Timer

When you click on an **Egg Timer** card on your canvas, choose how long your robot takes a nap:

You can choose:

* **Minutes**: For quick follow-ups (e.g. *"Wait 15 minutes after password reset request"*).
* **Hours**: For same-day gentle nudges (e.g. *"Wait 2 hours after items were left in cart"*).
* **Days**: For pacing out a multi-day onboarding series (e.g. *"Wait 3 days between tutorials"*).

## What Happens to People While Waiting?

When someone lands on an Egg Timer card:

* Their ride status is marked as **Active**.
* Mailofly tucks them in and keeps an eye on the clock.
* The very second the timer dings, Mailofly gently wakes them up and sends them rolling down the next track!
