# Migration Guide

> How to migrate contacts, audiences, and suppression lists from Mailchimp, SendGrid, or Resend.

# Contact Migration Guide

Migrating contacts and suppression lists into Mailofly is straightforward using CSV imports or bulk API synchronization.

## 1. Export from Existing Provider

Export your active subscriber lists and suppression lists (bounces, unsubscribes, spam complaints) from your previous provider (e.g. Mailchimp, SendGrid, Resend).

## 2. Bulk Import via Dashboard

1. Navigate to **Contacts** in your dashboard.
2. Click **Import Contacts** and upload your CSV.
3. Map columns to standard fields (`email`, `first_name`, `last_name`, `unsubscribed`) and custom properties.

## 3. Preserving Suppressions

Always ensure previously unsubscribed users or hard bounces are imported with `unsubscribed: true` to prevent unsolicited email delivery.
