# Importing

# Importing Contacts

Learn how to import contacts in bulk into your Mailofly audience using CSV files or real-time Google Sheets synchronization.

***

## Method 1: CSV File Upload

1. Navigate to **Contacts** in the sidebar.
2. Click **Import** → **Upload CSV**.
3. Select your `.csv` file.
4. Map the columns in your CSV to Mailofly fields:
   * `email` *(Required)*
   * `first_name`
   * `last_name`
   * Any additional columns will be mapped automatically into custom `properties`.
5. Click **Start Import**. Imports of up to 100,000 contacts process in the background within a few minutes.

***

## Method 2: Google Sheets Live Sync

Mailofly supports connecting directly to a public or shared Google Spreadsheet:

1. In the **Contacts** view, click **Import** → **Google Sheets Sync**.
2. Paste the Google Sheet URL (e.g. `https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/your_sheet_id/edit`).
3. Select the sheet tab and map the header row columns.
4. Mailofly will fetch existing rows and can periodically poll for newly added rows to keep your audience synchronized without manual exports.
