# Erase a Signal Definition

> Permanently erase a custom signal definition from your account.

No longer using a custom event and want to retire it?

Call this endpoint using the event's ID badge or name. Mailofly will erase its definition cleanly from your catalog!

### Path Parameters

<ParamField path="id" type="string" required>
  The ID badge or the name of the event (e.g. `"evt_4b219081..."` or `"old.event"`).

### Response

<ResponseField name="object" type="string">
  Always says `"event"`.
</ResponseField>

<ResponseField name="id" type="string">
  The ID badge of the erased event.
</ResponseField>

<ResponseField name="deleted" type="boolean">
  `true` confirming the signal definition is gone.
</ResponseField>
