# Read a Rider's Step-by-Step Diary

> Inspect every step, timestamp, and decision a contact went through during their journey.

Want to know why someone took the left path instead of the right path? Or whether an email was successfully dropped in their inbox?

This endpoint opens up the traveler's personal diary for a single run, showing every block they stepped on and what happened at each stop!

### Path Parameters

  The ID badge of the automation.

<ParamField path="run_id" type="string" required>
  The specific ride ticket ID (e.g. `"run_04a80291..."`) you want to read about.
</ParamField>

### Response

  Current trip status: `"active"`, `"completed"`, `"waiting"`, or `"failed"`.

  A list of each stop on their journey:

  * `step_key`: Nickname of the Lego block they visited.
  * `status`: How it went (`"completed"`, `"running"`, `"failed"`, or `"skipped"`).
  * `started_at`: When they stepped onto this block.
  * `completed_at`: When they left this block.
